<description>There are some decidedly NON-beneficial aspects to using an Envirolet composting toilet, the biggest being having to empty it by hand every month or two. I switched from the Envirolet first to a 5 gallon bucket, then spend $26K on a 3 stage septic system. Envirolet seems to drastically inflate the amount of waste that their toilets can handle.

Here are some blog entries from when I had pretty much given up on Envirolet.

<description>Part of the wonderful experience in planning for a garden is in shopping for tools and equipment. The exciting part is that we just &quot;have to have it&quot; whatever it is. We get caught up in the thrill of the expectation that we will have beautiful tomatoes, basil, squash, cucumbers and pumpkins. We even imagine sharing a bountiful harvest with neighbors, and even having a harvest festival on our street or block. What could be better? We have all our friends and neighbors in for a party and when they leave they take a bag of produce from our garden. It is a wonderful thought!

When the season is over, and even while we cultivate our gardens, all of the equipment and tools we buy must have a storage place. Is it the garage or is it a shed? It all depends on how many tools we buy and how many tools we already have that are taking up space in our garage.

The options are many. That is another project!!!

<description>This post has so many great tips! I love the fact that you touched on when to and when not to sharpen your saw (because it won&#039;t help).

A chainsaw sharpener can save you a whole lot of money, but only if you do so in the proper way at the proper times.

<description>Gifts for the garden are truly appreciated by anyone interested in gardening. I have personally received many gardening gifts over the years. Here are a few that stand out to me.

Plants: My parents gave me some gladiola bulbs about 6 years ago. Every time I see them blooming beside the stairs going down to our pool, I think about them.

Garden Animals: No, not the real kind, but small figures of squirrels, rabbits, etc provide interest and catch the eye.

Books: A good gardening book is always welcome, even in the winter. Sitting by the fire, thumbing through and gathering ideas is almost as rewarding as the garden itself.

No matter what the gift, the more personalized to the person&#039;s interests, the better.

<description>My wife is the gardener in our home and she does a great job if I must say so myself. What I have noticed that makes a big difference is to ensure your garden gets plenty of water. Of course the sun helps the process as well. The areas of our garden that do not receive sufficient water seem to stagger along. While the area&#039;s that get the most watering seem to produce a larger and fruitful yield. This article provides some practical solutions to get the most our out of you garden. Thanks for sharing. I am passing this on to my better half.
